Thoughts on Subway commercials

Posted by Chance on June 22, 2009

I like Subway, and I think it’s great that there is a healthy alternative to fast food that is also fast and inexpensive (although it would be nice if they had drive thru).  However,  I’m not a big fan of their commercials.  Last I checked, it was still mean to make fun of people being overweight.

Haven’t seen the commercials you’re talking about, so I can’t comment on that. However, most Subways here in SC have drivethru windows. You pull up to a window the size of a bank drivethru and watch them make your sub. Then you pull forward to get your sub and pay. Works pretty well.

That would be way easier for my wife, who hauls around 2 kids. When she grabs something to eat, it’s hard for her to go to the sandwich shops like Subway and Quizno’s, so sometimes she’ll just do fast food, where she can simply drive thru.
